The YETI Club© program helps reduce bullying and increase social tolerance as it builds self-worth, self-esteem and personal responsibility.

groupwave2a.jpgThis program opens children up to a whole new way to view themselves, their classmates, and their peers across the country, through an exciting and unique webcast learning environment.

Wholeschool connects 10 classroom or afterschool program groups together from anywhere in the U.S. and Canada, and together these students become members of  The YETI Club©.  

For the next two months, your students explore, share, show and tell with all other groups as they discover how amazing their bodies, emotions, and minds truly are. Friendships are formed. Common ground is discovered. Kids learn they have a lot more in common than they may have initially thought! And they learn what an amazing gift their lives truly are, and the possibilities their lives can have.

poto3.jpgStudents meet Poto the Yeti©, a young bigfoot who is curious about humans. He wants to learn about why they do the things they do. Together with Poto, kids explore what it is to be human in a non-judgmental and fun way.

The YETI Club© brings your students:

  • A new awareness of their thoughts, feelings, body systems, opinions, and their own creative force, all delivered to your classroom by engaging live instructors via webcast;
  • A new way to share with classmates and kids all over the country in real time, through video/audio interaction within the webcast environment, as well as the ability to share their ideas and creations with all the other groups of students;
  • A fun-filled learning experience that rewards all learning styles through experiential and engaging classroom activities, multimedia lesson segments, and direct conversation with instructors and each other as they make new discoveries about makes us all tick!

The YETI Club© opens a window to the world in your classroom, connecting students that might otherwise never meet. Web-conferencing has opened a doorway to a new global classroom!

How can your classroom join the fun? It's easy! All you need are:

  • One computer in the classroom with high-speed Internet connection;
  • A web-cam (can be purchased at any office supply store or through Wholeschool website);
  • Activity kit supplies for students, purchased at cost from Wholeschool website and delivered to you;

 Is it Hard to Set Up or Run?

Wholeschool Presenters support their teachers every step of the way. Your Presenter will:

  • Walk you through set-up and training prior to the first program;
  • Answer all questions about the program experience;
  • Help teachers learn to take and share class pictures and student art creations
  • Help teachers and students become comfortable sharing with the groups through the webcam;
  • Lead all classroom groups through their in-class and webcast experience.
